Municipal politicians have sent a message to Premier Gordon Campbell: ditch the Harmonized Sales Tax.

Vancouver councillor Kerry Jang told delegates at the Union of B-C Municipalities convention every family in B-C will pay more under the H-S-T.

He says the people don’t want it, council doesn’t want it, we don’t need it, so please get rid of it.
A motion calling on the government to abandon the H-S-T passed by a margin of 185 to 159.
